Lib Dems have increased their majority at the Vale - with 34 councillors elected to the Tories' 17. They made 4 net gains from the Conservatives.

The Lib Dems have also won all 21 seats on Abingdon Town Council, making another 4 gains from the Conservatives.

Elsewhere in Oxford West & Abingdon constituency, the Lib Dems held the Kidlington North seat, but failed to gain the other two seats that were up for election in Cherwell District - Kidlington South and Yarnton & Gosford.

The Liberal Democrats had already won control of Kidlington Parish Council, with 9 uncontested seats.
